The Wagon R is the most advertised car we track, and its price ladder is the cleanest in the market: first-generation cars, a deep 2017 to 2018 band, and fresh imports at the top. Again, asking prices only.
numbers came from listings on riyasewana.com and ikman.lk between 10 and 14 October 2026, the basis is 1,865 Wagon R listings, 1,539 of them with a price. The overall median asking price is about LKR 6.95 million.

Only years with at least five advertised listings appear. Few 2019 to 2022 cars surfaced in the sample, which mirrors the import restriction years and a run of lean stock; check the live page for that range.
The three bands
Band one is the 2014 to 2016 tranche at roughly LKR 5.8 to 5.9 million with over 330 cars to choose from. Band two is 2017 and 2018, the deep middle of this market: nearly 600 cars median-ing at LKR 6.75 and 6.95 million, and this is the benchmark price the Wagon R market trades around. Band three is fresh: 2024 and 2025 sit at LKR 7.55 to 7.9 million, and 2026 registrations median LKR 9.0 million.
That gap between the 2025 and 2026 rows, about LKR 1.1 million for one model year, is worth noticing. Registered but barely used 2026 imports are priced like new units. Most of the buying action stays in band two, where the price per year of life is friendliest.
